The IOC has announced the final games of the 2016 Olympic Games, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro in August 2019.

The IOC also said that the Rio 2016 Games would be held on the same date as the 2024 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
The two Summer Olympics are expected to take part in 2020 and 2024, respectively.
The Rio 2016 Olympics will take place from Aug. 12-17.
It will be the first time in the history of the Olympics that more than two Olympic Games will be staged simultaneously.
The first Olympic Games in 1896 in Athens, Greece, were held on Sept. 4, 1896.
